The local newspaper in the area where our library is located has published a long interview with members of the library board, Karolina Matskevich and Pavel Shavtsov.
This area, like the whole of London, is multi-ethnic. Many of our neighbours have never heard of Belarus or have only a very vague idea of it, or of how a Belarusian community came to exist in North London.
Journalist Bella Saltiel wonderfully retold the history we shared with her — including the story of the Belarusian church — and wrote about what motivates us to continue working to preserve and promote Belarusian heritage in Misty Albion.
